How old are you? 20? 34? 45? Did you achieve your goals? Do you have a Vision? Do you know what you want in life? Do you have a purpose, something to work for?

If you are like me then you’ve been told to forget your goals and dreams, and instead go to college, get a normal job, pay of your debt and work until you’re 70 years old to get retirement pay.

You listened to your family and your peers advice and ended up in a shit job heck you might even enjoy it, but you will never become financially free that way, let alone free in a sense to travel the world visit other countries and actually experience life.

The only thing that will change the miserable and pathetic condition you are in right now is to take action. But blind action won’t get you very far so you have to learn how to create a Lifeplan.

It’s complicated to learn how to create an achievable lifeplan because the Internet is flooded with bullshit ideas like “establish a goal roadmap or “draft a roadmap multi-step flip chart” what the fuck does that even mean?

Forget all of this nonsense, as a man you don’t need woo-woo crap like that to figure out what you want, how to get it and how long it’ll take. The only thing you need is a pen, paper and time.

Thinking not acting

Planning is thinking, not acting. Planning is questioning.

So what you need in order to begin are two things.

First a quiet and tidy place, literally no distractions whatsoever for at least 1 hour (you could sit in a park, your room it doesn’t really matter just make sure it’s quiet and not distracting)

Second pen and paper, that’s the magic recipe right there. There is absolutely no need for crappy multi-colored highlighters, shitty Post-Its clouding your mind and flipcharts eating up space in your room.

Thinking is the hardest work there is, which is probably the reason so few engage in it. -Henry Ford.

Ask yourself

What do I want? When you ask yourself that question your mind begins to work. You will think about money, career, relationships, mental goals, and physical goals.

This process is where most people fail because they still have that loser mindset and say things like “This is too much, “I am too busy”, “I don’t have time” “I could never achieve that.” You have to overcome this bad mindset or even anxiety.

Another thing that you have watch out for is that you will increase your problems exponentially by asking more and more questions, for example: “What do I want from my career?”, “What do I want from my body etc.”

To prevent yourself from getting stuck in the never-ending cycle of questions you have to ask yourself “What do I want to achieve in X months?”

Think about one thing that you want to accomplish in the next let’s say three months. Do you want to transform your body and achieve a new level of fitness? Do you want to build your own business? Do you want to create a budget?

Whatever it is that you want to achieve write it down.

While you write your goal down I want you to free your mind of your other wants. Planning requires patience. It is an exercise of endurance. While everything else in life is hitting hard and being aggressive, planning is calm.

Make it Attainable

When you have your goal in mind, make sure it is attainable. I’d suggest to ignore the mainstream advice, which tells you that “the sky is the limit” and “you can be whatever you want to be”. Question your goal, is it attainable in the time that you have set out for yourself? If it’s not, reframe the goal so that it is.

“Reaching for the stars” isn’t necessarily a bad advice, even Donald Trump tells you to THINK BIG! But without a plan on how to achieve your goal you will waste time and fail.

Take action

Now, after much thinking it’s time to take action. In order to reach your goal you have to put in the work and you have to do it consistently.

Consistency is predictability and reliability.

Let’s look at an example, if you’re new to the gym and lifting weights you have to learn the proper form in order to make some gains and you have to do it consistently at least 3 times a week to transform your body.

You have to be consistent in order to reach your goals there is no way around it.

Monitor your Progress

Make a list of things you will do in order to achieve your one goal, what do you have to do? For example build a website/create social media profiles, write kick-ass articles, share them and get in contact with like-minded people.

Excellence rarely shows itself among the ordinary.

After an hour of focused thought, your X month, goal plan is ready to be used.

That’s all there is to it and it’s pretty solid. I hope you’ll find it useful and that you’ll be able to achieve success through this technique as well.

All the best and thanks for reading.
