The way to happiness lies in you
Many people strive for their happiness every day, yet they can not find it. Often they think they could be happy if the circumstances were different. Do you think so sometimes?
We often say “if it were like this, it would be better.”
“If only my partner were more loving and attentive to me”. “If only I had a better job”. “If only I had more money.” “If only the children were grown up and out of the house”. The list of such and similar trains of thought could be expanded as desired.
Many people waste precious lives with such dream thoughts. They make life difficult for themselves and feel unhappy for most of their lives.
The problem is that they are looking for happiness to find it in some way. As if luck was something that you can own. If luck really happens to happen to you, it seems so brief and fleeting that it disappears quickly.
Many people think that happiness is just a feeling, like a short straw fire. However, I believe that happiness is not just a feeling, but rather a way of life.
How we find the way to happiness
There are ways to happiness . You can be content and happy every day, but to do that you need to change your way of thinking and take some basic ideas into account and internalize them.
First and foremost, you should try to live consciously in HERE and NOW. What was yesterday is over, and what’s coming tomorrow, we do not know yet. Only in HERE and NOW, we are fully at ourselves and can experience true fulfillment and happiness. So try to live fully in the present, though it may be hard at times, but it will be worth it. It’s your first step on the road to happiness .
Next, it is important that you observe and control your thoughts and thoughts that are circling in your head. Because happiness can be called a state of consciousness, and on the way to happiness you bring your psyche into the right state.
If I live in Hamburg, but prefer to be in Munich, I have to be ready to change location. To achieve this, I will, for example, get on a train and drive there. – This is just a pictorial example that we need to know the direction.
In order to reach our destination, we must take the right train. We need to know which train we are in, otherwise we might end up arriving somewhere we really do not want to go.
Imagine this move as your thinking. Yes, exactly, as your thought-building. If you want to travel from Hamburg to Munich, you have to take the right train to really get there. But if you let yourself be influenced by any thought that shoots through your head, you’ll be irritated and torn, and ultimately never reach your goal.
The question is: “How do we find the right train?”
The ticket to the right train is called gratitude. Gratitude is an attitude, the more grateful we are for what we have, rather than being dissatisfied and complaining about what we do not have, the less we will want to change our location.
When we change our mindset, we find ways to happiness , and one way to happiness is gratitude.
