What is shyness and what can be done about it

Shyness can be based on past events in a person’s life. If, for example, someone was rejected and criticized by their family members, classmates or other caregivers during childhood, these experiences (imprints) can have an impact in later life. As a result, those affected often have a low level of self-confidence, feel inhibited, and therefore find it more difficult to deal with other people, as well as when approaching and coping with new tasks.
In some people, shyness is also genetic. That is, shyness has existed from birth due to a chemical imbalance in the brain. According to research results, the switching center in the brain is responsible for this chemical imbalance, which causes permanent insecurity in those affected.
However, any kind of shyness can be overcome by strengthening self-confidence . A person who has confidence in himself and who confidently approaches every task is never shy. This makes it clear that shyness and self-confidence are two opposite poles.
